REHEARSAL SCRIPT #7
Princess Aqualine and Young Haroldson talk bravery
ACT TWO SCENE 5:
AQUALINE: And who doth you be?
YOUNG HAROLDSON: I am page to Sir Michael and soon to be Knight of the realm.
AQUALINE: Methinks not that soon.
YOUNG HAROLDSON: They call me Haroldson, as I am the son of Sir Harold. Princess, if you will pardon my query, why dost thou worry so?
AQUALINE: Ah, Sir-To-Be Haroldson, some perceive me as silly and I worry that it may be true. That if my marvelous idea fails, I will never be more than a Little Princess of Privilege who contributed nothing to her realm.
YOUNG HAROLDSON: Mi ‘lady, you need not trouble yourself on this. You are brave and wise beyond your years. Your inspirations are odd, but so helpful. They have inspired me to be braver than my nature: to think of how I may serve my realm, and not only how I might serve myself. I am honored to serve you.
(He bows. Aqualine blushes.)
